Roberto Giobbi
The passion for photo always grows, every new film developed give the new ideas for the next film. The professional side of this passion started with sports photos in swimming competition and weddings. Worked in fashion world, three full years with Sorelle FENDI, gave the sense of fashion to his photo. During these years he was an assistant for fashion photographers and for fashion show organizations. The world of wedding gave to him the opportunity to participate like an actor and photographer to the happiness of groom and brides in all these years. In 2004 he took his bachelor’s degree for black and white photography from University of Arts, Roma. After one wonderful year he discovered the secrets of dark room and the classical techniques of photography. The films were always in his heart, still now in Kumral & Giobbi Studio he is working with medium format and 35mm film cameras with a lot of pleasure. Passing to the digital world was a great surprise and discovery. The experiment could be done more easily and the new techniques can be developed much faster. During these years his sports photography portfolio grows with swimming, basketball, rugby, aircrafts. Although he started advertising photography he never left wedding photography. In 2008 he moved to Ankara, Turkey and in first half of 2009 he opened a Professional Photography Studio; Kumral & Giobbi Studio, in Dikmen. Here he is free to create what the customer need and deserve. |
Deniz Kumral
He likes to shoot live subjects, especially the ones with a talent like theatre actors and actresses. Stage photography is an enthusiasm for him which he is working hard to be better than he is. Deniz does not have choice between the studio and outside or film and digital or continous light and flash. They are long past since the important thing is the result, to satisfy the need of the customer. If a project needs to be shot outside with a film camera supported with movie lighting, so be it. Important thing for him is the concept worth shooting. If the concept is good, idea is unique than there is no reason not to make the perfect shot. His favorite equipment is a Mamiya medium format camera and positive film inside. Other than this he uses Canon dSLR cameras and lenses. He likes to work in industrial and worn out environments. Also likes to shoot people in action like dancing, singing, jumping or shouting. As he has been in the advertising industry for long time, he likes advertising shots and work with the creative teams of agencies. Now he has the Kumral & Giobbi Studio with his partner Roberto to make much better photographs.

Born in Rome in 1967 and at 13 started to play with his father’s camera; a Russian 35mm ZORKI 4 a Leica replica. After few years his aunt give him a dream; a “serious” camera. Yashica Mat 124G a 6x6mm.
Born in Ankara in 1974, started to shoot in college, mostly plants and friends in snow. As he was born in Autumn, his favorite time of shooting is also Autumn.
